Kommersant, Reuters to Launch Internet Portal
Kommersant Publishing House, Reuters news blockbuster and Russian Media Ventures, where Video International is one of the founders, intend to launch a business Internet web.
The project is slated to be set into motion in the fall of 2008; its budget is estimated at a few million dollars. The web will release large bulk of reference data, including the market information, offer some video-spots and provide the information that won’t be in line with the general concept of Kommersant.ru and Gazeta.ru.
Top4Top social network for intellectuals is the last project of Russian Media Ventures. It is yet to become operational and calls for investments of roughly $15 million. Dmitry Dibrov is the producer at Top4Top and Lev Novozhenov is its editor-in-chief.
Independent Media Publishing House launched RB.ru in the fall of 2007. This undertaking is similar to the project of Kommersant, Reuters and Russian Media Ventures.
