Sacked TV Host Parfenov Has No Plans Yet
June 2, Namedni Host Leonid Parfenov does not know yet what he will do after leaving NTV. “Right now I have no idea what I’ll do next, so I’ll just have a rest,” Parfenov told Interfax Wednesday.
Parfenov answered the question whether he had any proposals in the affirmative, but made a reservation that he had "not discussed anything seriously with any one yet.” The journalist also said he had no obligations to the company, “I wasn’t doing any new projects or films,” – Parfenov noted.
Answering the question on the future of Strana i Mir (The Country and the World) TV-program, created by the journalist, Parfenov said: “I know nothing, it’s not in my power now.” Leonid Parfenov said he had not seen the order of dismissal yet. “They just called me and said I’m fired. I’m going to Ostankino now and will stop by in the personnel department to sign necessary documents,” the journalist said. Parfenov has not yet talked to the company’s administration, moreover, he said he was not going to. However, he "would certainly gather the journalists of his program and talk with them."
