120 Children from Moscow Waited for Accommodation in Turkish Hotel More Than a Day
A group of 120 children and teenagers from Moscow had to wait more than a day for hotel accommodation in Turkey, RIA Novosti reported.
According to Asko InTour that arranged the tour, Boeing with a group of Moscow children and teenagers left for Antalya at 6:40 p.m. Monday. The landing was denied and the jet had to return to Moscow Domodedovo airport, where the children moved to Tu-154. That jet touched ground in Antalya early Tuesday, but it wasn’t the end of ordeal.

Monaco Beach Hotel of Turkish Kemer was to accommodate the Moscow youth. But the busses with children and teens were going from one seaside resort to another till 6:00 p.m., as the children were banned from entering the hotel hall. The youngest of them were losing consciousness due to the lack of water.

The explanation of hotel authorities was that Asko InTour exceeded the number of places allocated to it. In the end, extra beds were bought and there are from six to seven children in a room. But 30 of them had to go to the nearby hotel.

Apart from the lack of beds, another reason of delay was the desire of hotel authorities to get $16,000 compensation for the previous group.

The difficulties were sorted out on Wednesday, said representatives of the tourist firm. But the mother of one of the girls said that roughly eight children were in the hall waiting for accommodation late Thursday.

The children were offered a yacht trip as compensation. The next group leaves for Turkey, same Monaco Beach Hotel, July 21.
