Credit Suisse Russia CEO Named
Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad has been appointed CEO of Credit Suisse Russia. In that capacity, Kyriakos-Saad will be responsible for operations with private capital, the investment banking business and asset management in Russia. He will be based in Moscow and will answer to Eric Varvel, Credit Suisse CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Kyriakos-Saad will also retain management roles in bank in the CIS and Turkey.
Kyriakos-Saad worked until recently as Credit Suisse general director for Russia, the CIS and Turkey. He is also a member of the operations committee for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2006, Kyriakos-Saad held various positions in JP Morgan Chase concerned with operations with fixed income instruments and work with developing markets. He worked for eight years at Goldman Sachs in New York and London before that. He is Lebanese by birth and a graduate of the American University in Beirut. He also has an MBA from the Columbia University Business School.
