NATO Spokesman Called Reports of Georgia's Media Worst Mispresentation of Information
NATO Spokesman James Appathurai has denied the reports of Georgia’s TV about the alleged proposal of allies to pull out Russia’s peacekeepers of the conflict area of Georgia and Abkhazia, ITAR-TASS reported.
NATO spokesman James Appathurai has denied the assertions of Georgia’s TV, whereby NATO stood for the withdrawal of Russia’s peacekeepers from the conflict area of Georgia and Abkhazia.

Appathurai said Georgia’s special envoy had raised the peacekeepers’ issue at the NATO sitting of April 28. But none of the allies suggested the peacekeepers should be pulled out of the conflict area, the more so replaced by any other troops.

In reality, Appathurai went on, the allies expressed anew their apprehension that Russia’s actions in South Ossetia and Abkhazia may negatively affect the situation in the region. The assertions of Georgia’s media were the most awful and the worst misrepresentation of information that he had ever witnessed, Appathurai made clear.
