U.S. Congress Attempts to Ban Funding Iran’s War
In the United States, the House will again focus on the bill banning administration from using budget funds for military operations in Iran with no sanction of the Congress, RIA Novosti reported.
The U.S. House Armed Services Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee have received for consideration the bill that bans using funds for military operations in Iran. The bill says that no funds appropriated under any law could be directed or spent for military operations or actions in Iran or in the territorial waters of Iran without the special sanction of the Congress.
Nevertheless, the ban would be lifted should the United States carry out military operations to repel an attack from Iran or should the military operations be necessary to avoid an inevitable attack from Iran or should the military operations require from the United States to chase enemy troops escaping in Iran or should the military operations or actions be related to intelligence of the U.S. government.
It is the fourth time that the Democrats have endeavored to tie hands of President George W. Bush in his policy directed at Iran. All previous efforts ended by total failure.
